Many misconceptions are passed on by well-meaning friends and, says used car history experts at HPI, this can lead to buyers losing money on their next car. General Motors has dismissed 15 employees, including at least eight executives, after an internal investigation found “a pattern of incompetence and neglect” that led to 11 years of delays in recalling millions of cars for a fatal defect, CEO Mary Barra said today. Barra promised that the company would address future safety issues far differently, warning employees that failing to report risks would make them “part of the problem” and even inviting them to contact her directly if they couldn't get potential defects addressed themselves.

Goodwood Moving Motor Show

Now in its 18th year, the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed (which runs over the coming weekend of the 2 to 4 July) this year adds an extra day prior to the main event, billed as the Moving Motor Show. Designed partially as a replacement for the British Motor Show, which was last held at London's Excel exhibition centre in 2008, the Moving Motor Show allows some 2000 members of the public to drive recent new cars from 22 manufacturers up Goodwood's famous hill climb course. This development fits well with recent trends.
